Humanity

The crown jewel of God’s creation on earth, holding a privileged status in the created order that is being exceeded only by the angels. Made in the image of God whereby he is able to love, reason, choose, feel, relate and communicate with his Maker. This quality alone sets humankind apart from the other creatures on earth. Created with the purpose of being in relationship with the Triune God and serving as His representative here on earth. However, due to The Fall, caused by the disobedience our first parents, Adam and Eve, humankind has fallen short of God’s divine expectations. Saturated by the sin nature, he is hopelessly dominated by it and can only be liberated by the redemptive work of Christ.
